451,734. Fire - extinguishers. MARS, M., Chatenay, Seine, France. Oct. 8, 1935, No. 27751. Convention date, Oct. 10, 1934. [Class 102 (i)] In a fire-extinguisher the pump bucket 10 has a rod 8 of large diameter, so that liquid is discharged through the nozzle 6 on the down stroke as well as on the up stroke. The rod is hollow and communicates through orifices 12 with the upper side of the bucket. Packing - rings are dispensed with, the bucket being formed with grooves 13, which collect sealing liquid. A perforation 14 in the pump barrel admits air to the container 1. Specifications 2726/14, 179,733, [both in Class 102 (i)], and 406,541 are referred to.
