Abstract

450,129. Covers for refuse receptacles. FIAT SOC. ANON., 250, Via Nizza, Turin, Italy. Nov. 15, 1935, No. 31735. Addition to 427,769. [Class 66] [See also Group I] The flange 4 of the cover described in the parent Specification is provided with tongues 7 which are attached to parts such as hooks 9 of the receptacle. The handle 13 comprises a conical rubber member having a rod 10 passing therethrough ; the rod has a ring 12 and is pivoted to a support 11 on the cover. In order to fasten the cover, the handle and the cover beneath it are deformed by pressure until the ring 12 engages a hook 14 on the bin. The strap connected to the pedal by which the cover may be lifted is passed through an eyelet 17 in an upstanding member 16.
