Abstract

449,736. Fishing. SAELEN, E., 30, Skivebakken, Bergen, Norway. Oct. 21, 1935, No. 28972. [Class 48] [See also Group XI] The lamp socket 5 of an electrically illuminated fish bait is filled with a plastic waterresistant mass 6 and the lamp is unenclosed. The contact between the lamp and the battery is made by a pin 7. The bait is secured to the line by a ring 23 on the end of a pin 18. The conical end 20 of the pin 18 normally engages a spring-pressed wire 17 and holds it out of contact with the battery 11. When the bait is suspended, however, its weight releases the wire 17 and the circuit is completed. A flicker effect is obtained by jerking the line. The bait is made watertight by insulating material 10, 12. The lamp bulb is protected by pins 27.
