Abstract

449,552. Prismatic binoculars. BAKER, T. Y., Goldislie, South Hayling, Hampshire, and SUTTON, J. F., Admiralty Research Laboratory, Teddington, Middlesex. Dec. 29, 1934, No. 37230. [Class 97 (i)] In a prismatic binocular the prism system is held rigidly in a frame B detachable from the body of the binocular, the frame being fixed in the case by contact of the surfaces E<1> E<2> of a lug D with the points of two adjustable opposing screws F<1> F<2>, and by contact of V-grooves C in two separated members of the frame with an adjustable bar A. The system may be adjusted in position by the screws F<1> F<2> and by the bar A which may be rotated about an eccentric axis. The frame is held by pressure on a spring G of a boss H carried by the screwedon cover plate J.
