Abstract
448,531. Hooks. BYRON JACKSON CO., 2150, East Slauson Avenue, Los Angeles, U.S.A. Feb. 6, 1935, No. 3871. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1934. [Class 89 (ii)] The mouth of the hook 2 is closed by the bar 10 pivoted to the bill of the hook, and having an aperture 14 which engages a projection 12 on the hook body, thus enabling the bar 10 to support a part of the load on the hook. The bar is locked in its closed position by a pivoted hook 22, the tail of which is locked in the closed position by a removable pin 29. In a modification the head of the bar 10 passes between two projections on the hook body.
