Abstract
447,699. Bottle &c. crates &c. COX, A., Harlech, Warwick Road, Olton, Warwickshire, and HINKS, L. S., Henley, Bigburyon-Sea, Devon. Feb. 8, 1935, No. 4049. [Class 18] A crate &c. for bottles &c. of the type provided with an apertured partition c<1> has a lattice-work base a<2> of metal strips each of which is crimped to provide bottle-positioning circles of projections a<3> in register with the apertures in partition c<1>, The crate is of skeleton form and comprises curved corner members b and side members b<1>, the upper ends thereof being curled round a frame a and the lower ends supporting a frame a<1> to which they are riveted or welded. Spring fingers c<2> to grip the bottles surround the apertures in the partition c<1>, and the latter is welded or riveted to the side members b, b<1> or is positioned between upper and lower lugs b<3>, b<4> pressed out of these members. Feet b<2> which also serve as positioning members when a number of crates are stacked are formed in the members b.
