[Classes 79 (iii) and 136 (iii)] [See also Groups XV and XXXII] The invention relates to amusements for example, as described in Specifications 177,395, [Class 132 (i)], 346,621, and 381,990, wherein vehicles steered freely over an electrically charged floor by the passengers are driven by electric motors fed from the floor and an electrically charged ceiling. According to the invention the vehicles simulate bicycles. In the embodiment shown, the vehicle comprises a platform 1 secured by brackets 6, 7 to a motor cycle frame F, the rear wheel 5 of which is disposed in a slot 5<a> in platform 1 and is driven through chain gearing 8, 9 ... 14 by an electric motor 15. A friction clutch comprising a sprocket wheel 12, Fig. 5, loose on shaft 11 which it drives through friction discs 11<a>, 12<a> adjusted by means of a spring 12b, is provided in the motor drive. The dirigible wheel 4 controlled by the handlebars H is located in a slot 4<a> in the platform provided with anti-friction rollers 4b to engage the wheel 4. The platform 1 is also provided with castors 3 which may serve instead of the usual shoe to collect current from the floor B, current from the charged ceiling being collected bv a trolley arm T. the motor 15 is controlled by series connected switches 17 closed by depressing the foot rests 16. The enclosure is limited by buffers B\ adapted to engage rollers 25, and/or guards 27, Fig. 8, located beneath the platform of a car. For collisions between cars the platform 1 is surrounded by a resilient bumper 2 and may have at one end a heavy rubber bumper 22, Fig. 8, secured by a strap moulded therein and bolted to the platform.
