445,244. Loud - speakers; wireless receiving-apparatus. JANOSI, Z., B1B, Schwarzenberger Strasse, Johanngeorgenstadt, Saxony, Germany. Sept. 24, 1935, No. 26456. Convention date, Feb. 26, 1935. [Class 40 (iv)] [See also Group XL] In a wireless receiver or loud-speaker cabinet strips or bands of rigid material having a flat, bowed, or other suitable shape are fixed at a suitable distance in front of the sound openings 3 so as to cover the openings without closing them. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, the strips 1 are flat, but bent over at their ends 2 for spacing purposes ; while in the arrangement shown in Fig. 2, the strips 4 are of bowed form. Alternatively, absolutely flat strips mounted in side spacing strips may be employed. The strips may be made of wood, metal or artificial resin and, if desired, may themselves be apertured.
