Abstract

445,134. Game apparatus. GAUNT, C. F., Warstone Parade Works, Birmingham. Jan. 24, 1935, No. 2339. [Class 132 (ii)] A board provided with hooks 10 for use in a ring throwing game is provided with ring actuated score indicators 12 mounted in front of the board above some or all of the hooks. As shown, the board is formed by a metal sheet 8 with an overturned edge 9, and lugs 15 are pressed up therefrom to house bearing pins 14 for the skeleton triangular prism shaped indicators 12, formed by pressing a metal sheet. The outer face of each prism bears a score indication, and the pin 14 engaging in the angles of the indicator retains it in a definite score indicating position after it has been rotated by a ring passing on to the hook beneath. Two or more indicators 12 may be provided for any of the hooks. Modifications. The indicators may be of square or other polygonal shape. The lugs 15 may be formed separately and welded, riveted, or otherwise secured to the board 8 which may be formed from two or more sheets in which case the lugs 15 may be pressed from the rear sheet and extend through holes in the front sheet or sheets. Fixed scores may be marked on the board adjacent some of the hooks. In an alternative construction the indicators consist of vanes carrying the scores projecting radially from bosses mounted on pivots such as 14, ratchet- and-pawl or other mechanism being provided to ensure the indicators coming to rest in definite positions.
