Abstract

Bismuth oxyiodide is used in cellulose derivative plastic masses, paints and lacquers as a red pigment, with which pearl or mother-of-pearl effects may be obtained. In an example, the pigment is employed in a methyl cellulose aqueous coating composition.ALSO:Bismuth oxyiodide is used in plastic masses, paints and lacquers as a red pigment, with which pearl and mother of pearl effects can be obtained.
