Abstract
444,301. Transformers. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. Nov. 1, 1935, No. 30262. Convention date, Nov. 1, 1934. [Class 38 (ii)] Relates to a transformer of the type in which the leakage reactance is varied by movement of one of the windings and consists in accommodating the operating means in a longitudinal recess in the core leg on which the windings are mounted. The core is formed by four sections 10 mounted so that the central leg 11 formed, has a recess 13 in which is mounted an operating screw 20 and nut 22. The movable coil 18 is supported by a ring 27 attached to the nut 22 by arms 23 which project through slots in the core and insulating sleeve 19.
