[Class 83 (iv)] In an apparatus for bending tubes of the type in which the tube 1 is clamped to a pivoted former 2 by screw clamp 3 pivoted on a pin P, a projection 5 on the former engages a recess 6 in the clamp to lock the clamp and the former together during bending. A stationary clamping-screw 8 bears on a lever 9 to hold a slidable guide bar 10 in contact with the tube 1.
