[Class 131] A hair-wave forming and retaining clip comprises a pair of spring - pressed jaws 10, 11 the handle portions 12 of which are spaced widely apart when the clip is closed, the jaws being each provided with an outwardly directed flange 14 set at an angle of 90-110‹ to the body of the jaw and with inwardly directed teeth 15 disposed at an angle of 90‹-95‹ to the body of the jaw, the teeth on the jaws interengaging when the clip is closed and lying with their tips snugly engaging the flanges 14. The jaws 10, 11 are slightly bowed longitudinally in opposite directions, are provided with ribs 16 which abut when the clip is closed, and are each provided with the same number of teeth 15, thus allowing both jaws to be formed by the same die.
