439,506. Disinfecting &c. apparatus for water-waste-preventers. WALENSKY, L., 9, Fourth Avenue, Hove, Sussex, and CARTER, E., 9, The Glebe, Blackheath, London. June 8, 1934, No. 17010. [Class 26] A disinfecting &c. device comprises a hollow casing 1 adapted to be mounted in a flushing-cistern, a transverse tray 8 for supporting a soluble disinfectant &c. within and above the bottom of the casing so as to leave below it a reservoir for solution, the reservoir being separated from an aperture 5 in or near the base of the casing by an internal upstanding wall 6, the casing having lateral apertures &c. above and below the level of the tray. The wall may be cylindrical or conical, or the aperture 5 may be in the side wall and may open into an internal compartment divided from the reservoir by a partition or partitions. Further, the tray is supported by a continuous or discontinuous ledge 9 and by legs 10 and may comprise a gauze or other perforated or skeleton partition. The casing may be supported by the extensible bracket shown and may be corrugated or fluted to afford free circulation to the water about the disinfectant.
