Abstract

438,624. Picture frames &c. EDMONDS, Ltd., G., and COLLINS, W. H., Soho Hill Works, Hockley Brook, Birmingham. Sept. 8, 1934, No. 25845. [Class 11] [See also Group XXII] In a photograph or picture frame or the like of the kind comprising separate corner pieces having retaining parts to hold the picture or the like within the frame, the corner pieces are secured to the side and end members of the frame by bentover parts or ears. The corner piece 2 is adapted to fit over and grip the mitred, L-section, metal side members 1 by means of integral ears 4 clinched over and engaging notches 6 in the side strips. An integral tongue 5 is provided, preferably on each corner piece, and is folded down to engage the back of the backing board or the like placed in the frame. The corner pieces may be applied to wooden frame-members and the retaining tongues 5 may be separately attached.
