Abstract

438,049. Electric-battery lamps. HILL, W. J., 4, St. Paul's Square, Birmingham. May 11, 1934, Nos. 14245 and 15206. [Classes 39 (ii) and 75 (iv)] An electric lamp for a cycle comprises a battery casing having means for attaching the lamp to the cycle, a forwardlydirected lamp section and a rearward red glass or celluloid section, the two sections being collectively or independently illuminated by an electric bulb or bulbs and the battery casing being of a current-carrying character and forming part of the circuit. In the Figure the casing a is supported by a bracket j, and a cap g screwed on a protuberance e contains red glass or celluloid. Bulbs c, f are connected in parallel and are controlled by a common contact d. In other forms, the sections are connected by a light-conduit fitted with a single bulb and are mounted above, below or laterally of the casing. In a further form, the light-conduit. passes centrally through the casing and the battery is of divided form.
