Abstract
436,606. Thermionic valves. ROBINSON, E. Y., Garvary, Dryden Road, and KAY, J., 38, Borden Avenue, both in Bush Hill Park, Enfield, Middlesex, and ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. June 19, 1934, No. 18188. [Class 39 (i)] In a vacuum discharge tube displacement of the electrode structure is prevented by a cross piece having parts 3, Fig. 2, of a diameter not greater and preferably slightly less than the smallest internal diameter of the tube wherein the cross piece is used, and other parts 4 of a diameter as large as and preferably slightly larger than the largest internal tube diameter ; the parts 3 are rigid and the parts 4 relatively flexible. In a modification the rigid part may be formed by a disc 3a, Fig. 5, of mica or metal and the flexible part 4 by a toothed mica disc ; the two parts may be riveted together or used together without fastening to each other. In a further construction the flexible parts are obtained by making cuts 7, Fig. 7, in a disc. The cross pieces may be attached to the electrode or electrode structure by the hollow rivet 6, Fig. 5.
