435,631. Electroplating - apparatus. KRONSBEIN, J., 156, Crocketts Lane, Smethwick, Staffordshire, and NEALE, C. F., 134, Brearley Street, Birmingham. May 28, 1934, No. 15785. [Class 41] Articles are carried through the plating bath by a partially submerged rotating wheel or disc constituting an electromagnet on the periphery of which the articles are supported. The apparatus shown comprises a pair of discs b separated by a core on which is wound a magnetizing coil b<4> connected to brushes b<5>. The cathodic connection is made to the shaft b<1>. Non-ferrous articles may be mounted in a holder c<1> on a bar c bridging the discs. In a modification, two or more pairs of discs are provided over which a pair of endless flexible iron bands is mounted. The articles are mounted on the bands and conveyed through the bath thereby. According to the Provisional Specification, bicycle spokes may be mounted so as to bridge the poles and non-ferrous buttons may be attached to wires on an iron strip for mounting on a disc.
