Abstract
434,494. Casting porcelain and stoneware. FUSCHI, G., Castelli, Teramo, and KORACH, M., 58, Via Valeriani, Bologna, both in Italy. Feb. 27, 1934, No. 6389. [Class 87 (ii)] [See also Group X] Porcelain and stoneware articles free from air bubbles are cast in plaster moulds by circulating the fluid slip continuously through the mould a by means of a circulating pump c until the necessary thickness has been deposited. The slip is pumped from a blunger b having a stirrer b<1> and heated by a steam jacket b<2> ; the circulation is by way of pipes d, e to the mould, thence by a pipe f back to the blunger, the valve g being open and valves h, j closed. When the pump is stopped, valve g is closed, and excess slip is removed from the mould on opening valves h, j.
