433,354. Photographic roll - film spools. I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE AKT.- GES., Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Oct. 2, 1934, No. 28200. Convention date, Oct. 4, 1933. [Class 98 (i)] A spool having the usual end-flanges is provided with a keyhole at one end formed by easily displaceable members, and has discs of larger diameter removably fitted on the flanges, one of the discs being provided with a keyhole larger than the keyhole in the spool, as may be required for use in a different camera. As shown, the spool is of metal, with flanges 3 connected by lugs 10 formed on the barrel 1. Lugs 5, 6 are shaped from the metal of the barrel 1 and bent to form the keyhole 9. Discs 11 of larger diameter than the flanges 3 are removably secured against the flanges by pressed-up fingers 14 having snap connection 15, 16 with the core 1; and one of these discs has a keyhole 13 larger than the keyhole 9. When the keyhole 9 is to be used, the discs 11 are removed. When the keyhole 13 is to be used, the insertion of the larger key therethrough bends back out of the way the lugs 5, 6 forming the keyhole 9.
