Abstract
Raw fish-liver is preserved by removing the bile ducts and reducing it to a fluid mass and intimately mixing with it cocoa or chocolate or both which arrest bacterial action and act as binders for the moisture, the product being then formed into cakes, tablets &c. which may be coated with another edible substance, e.g. chocolate. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the use as binders of other edible materials such as powdered milk. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
