Abstract
Magnetizable elements such as cores for electrical apparatus are produced from iron alloys containing 35 per cent of nickel and 9 per cent of copper, or 42 per cent of nickel and 9 per cent of copper, or alloys in which the contents of nickel and iron are in the ratio of 45 : 55 and the content of copper varies, for example, between 0 and 15 per cent. A rolled rod may be annealed, before working, at 800 DEG C. in hydrogen and slowly cooled in the furnace.
