[Class 66] A device for cutting out the end of a can is provided with a cutter blade 4 pivotally mounted on a pin 6 carried by a slide member 3 adapted to be slid around the rim 13, the cutter normally assuming the inoperative position shown in Fig. 2; the cutter has a cam part 5 adapted, as the slide is moved along the rim of the can, to strike one of a number of projections 14 provided on the can end, turning the blade into the cutting position in which the cam part engages a stop 7. Removal of the end is then effected by rotation of the traction wheel 11 by the handle 1. The projections 14 may be formed by indenting the end, or may consist of blobs of solder.
