Abstract

428,860. Overhead. - track conveyers. KING, D. M., 47, Balmoral Road, Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Nov. 7, 1933, No. 30988. [Class 104 (ii)] In an overhead conveyer in which the trolleys 7 are moved along the track 8 by a chain &c. 9 carrying abutments 18 engaging the trolleys, stops 17a on the chain are adapted to be moved into the path of the trolleys on inclined parts of the track to prevent the trolleys from travelling faster than the chain. For this purpose, the chain and track may be caused to approach each other, as shown in Fig. 3. The chain &c. may be in the same vertical plane as the trolleys, and may comprise flat links as described in Specification 417,134, [Group XXV]. It may run between guide rails 15 or may be carried by trolleys running on tracks.
