Abstract
427,851. Floors, roofs, and the like. GEVERS, J., 70, Rue de l'Aumonier, Antwerp, Belgium. July 13, 1934, Nos. 20630 and 20631. Convention dates, July 14, 1933 and June 1, 1934. [Class 20 (iv)] Cement covering with expansion joints for flat roofs, floors, &c., is applied to a bituminous base 2 on which ribbons 1 of imputrescible elastic material, such as bitumen, are arranged to form compartments into which the cement is laid. The ribbons may be positioned by a preliminary setting in blocks 3 of bitumen, cement, or mortar, Fig. 1, or by interlocking with each other, Fig. 7. In the case where the covering 4 extends above the jointing- strips, the edges of the latter are exposed by grooving the surface, as shown in Fig. 3.
