Abstract

427,813. Electric incandescent lamp filaments. OMEGA LAMPWORKS, Ltd., and JONES, G. E., Rodney Place, Merton Abbey, London. Nov. 1, 1933, No. 30311. [Class 39 (ii)] A long coiled filament 17 is arranged in the form of a helix supported at its ends by the leading- in wires 16, 18 and at intermediate points by wire supports 19 radiating from the stem of the lamp. In the example the stem 13 is hollow and provides a passage for the leading- in wire 16 which is bent at right - angles at its upper end, the leading-in wire 18 being shorter so that a helix of one and a half turns is obtained. The supporting wires 19 radiate from a button 21 formed on the end of the stem 13. Specification 164,058, [Class 39 (ii)], is referred to.
