Abstract

427,489. Brushes. DENTON, W. L., Mimosa, Kingston Lane, Southwick, Sussex. Oct. 25, 1933, No. 29571. [Class 19] A device for cleaning shoes and the like comprises slidable brushes 3 which can be brought into position for use or retracted, and a central rotatable member 10 carrying a brush and a pad for use selectively. The brushes 3 are held in their extreme positions by spring pins 7 engaging enlargements 9a of the slots 9. The back 2 of the handle is preferably formed with recesses 2a, 2b to provide a guide for a tin of polish. One of the brush housings may be bent at 14 to form a scraper.
