[Class 26] In a water-waste-preventer of the type in which provision is made for discharging at will either the whole or part of the contents, and which has an air-vent 7 of which the outlet 8 is connected to the short-leg of the siphon and of which the inlet 9 is immersed to a predetermined depth in the water, the outlet being closable by a valve 10, which is normally maintained open by gravity, the valve is controlled by a lever 11 which is separate from and is operated independently of the flushing lever 6.
