[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 17, 1934.] [Class 122 (i)] In pistons of the kind in which the head 1 is protected by a layer 2 of insulating material held to the head by an initial shell 6, the securing rivets 7 are thermally insulated by material 9 to minimize transfer of heat from the combustion chamber to the cylinder body.
