Abstract

Rubber mats or the like having upstanding designs are made from two sheets of rubber, one unvulcanized and the other semi-vulcanized, by cutting the design from one sheet, placing the design in recesses in a mould, covering them with the other sheet and vulcanizing to cause the two parts to unite. The design is preferably cut from the semi-vulcanized sheet. Specification 306,276, [Class 70], is referred to.
