Abstract
419,267. Emptying milk tins &c. BILLIAN, O., 104, Limmatquai, Zurich, Switzerland. June 13, 1934, No. 17534. Convention date, June 13, 1933. [Class 21.] A device for emptying milk &c. tins &c. comprises a bridge - piece a fitting over the top of the container and secured by a screw e within which is a vent passage f, an outlet pipe b, c, within which is a plunger d pointed at the lower end, and a screw or pin h which when the piercer is again raised and given a half turn supports the plunger out of contact with the tin &c. A rubber ring g may be utilized for making a tight joint. The screw e may only just penetrate the tin &c. so that venting is continuous or may be screwed so far into the tin &c. that the exit from the vent passage may be within the tin &c. so that venting is stopped.
