[Class 39 (iii).] In an electric cooking oven &c. having interchangeable heating units 1, 2, and 3 with at least three connecting points 15, 16 and 17, the end terminals of a series-parallel switch 11 are connected to three points on units 1 and 2 and to two points on unit 3, the remaining terminal of unit 3 being permanently disconnected. The intermediate tapping 16 of the elements may be unbalanced. The two connected terminals of element 3 may be connected to any pair of the switch busbars 8, 9, and 10.
