Abstract
413,484. Lamp supports ; ceiling- roses. BAUR, E., Usine Du Vallon, Lausanne, Switzerland. June 10, 1933, No. 16641. Convention date, June 11, 1932. [Class 75 (iii).] A condenser 10 for dimming electric incandescent lamps is incorporated in a box or container 16 from, or on, which the lamp 4 is suspended or supported. The dimming switch 7, which is arranged to switch the lamp off, to connect it in series with the condenser, or to conneot it direct across the supply, may be mounted on a separate wall fitting or incorporated in the container 16 which may be a base member or ceiling rose or base block which is mounted on the ceiling or on the wall and serves as a base for the wall bracket, chandelier or ceiling fitting which carries the lamp. In the case of table lamps in which the arm carrying the lamp is supported on a base member, the condenser and its switch are mounted in the base member.
