Abstract
In the process of creaming fresh latex, a small quantity of a water soluble soap up to 0,5 per cent is added in addition to the usual creaming agent, to accelerate the creaming process. The invention comprises broadly the use of any ammonium, sodium or potassium salt of a fatty acid, saturated or unsaturated, and having a chain of from 5 to 24 carbon atoms, or of sulphonated derivatives of such acids. The preferred types of soap are ammonium or potassium soaps of fatty acids. Specified soaps are: the potassium soaps of coconut oil acids, and of sulphonated undecylenic acid, ammonium laurate, potassium or ammonium stearate, sodium, ammonium or potassium oleate.
