[Class 20 (i).] Structures for use as airship shelters, sheds, exhibition buildings, and the like, are formed with a centre support on which the roof, which is in the form of an inverted cone, or pyramid, is supported so that the use of outer peripheral upright supports is avoided. The central support may be in the form of a single column or a group of columns 2, and supports an internal girder 7. Radial members 4 are secured to the internal girder with their outer ends raised and an external peripheral girder 5 is carried by these outer ends. Intermediate radial supports 8 and girders 6 may be used and the cover sheets 9 are disposed parallel to the girders. The outer doors 10 are pivoted to supports 11 carried by the outer peripheral girders. In one modification shown, the plan of the roof is hexagonal, while in another, Fig. 8, the plan is circular and the cover-plates 9 are disposed radiating between the inner and outer girders, and the intermediate radial supports and girders are omitted. The building units may be grouped together in various forms with common roof sides.
