Abstract

411,368. Floor - brushing machines. KRENKA, J., 72, Goldschlagstrasse, Vienna. Nov. 10, 1933, No. 31330. Convention date, Nov. 11, 1932. [Class 138 (i).] Brushes adapted to be reciprocated by floor wheels are slidably mounted in parallel guides in a frame on which the wheels are mounted so as to be capable of movement relative to the plane in which the brushes reciprocate. In the construction shown, two brushes 1, 2, are removably mounted in casings 3 secured to carriers 5, 5'. The outer carriers 5 are provided with slotted members 7 forming guides for rollers 8 which are mounted on crank pins 9 carried by the floor wheels 10. The two cranks are diametrically opposed with respect to the axis of the wheels. The shaft 11 which is rigidly connected to the wheels is movable in slots 12 in bearing members 13 connected by a bridge 14. A block 17 on the shaft 11 is pressed downwardly by a spring 18 surrounding a pin on the bridge 14. The ends of the bearing members 13 are connected to a frame comprising transverse bars 15 and longitudinal bars 16. The bars 16 form guides for the carriers 5, 5<1> during the reciprocation of the brushes.
