Abstract

[Class 89 (i).] A member for securing shuttering during the casting of concrete, or for lifting concrete blocks comprises a tapered shank 11 carrying a knuckle thread 12 and formed at its upper end with a thread and nut 13 or as an eyebolt. The tapering knuckle thread facilitates removal from the concrete after it has solidified around it. The hold in the concrete block may be increased by use of a pre-cast concrete nut coacting with the bolt.
