408,901. Crushers with vibrating jaws. BAXTER, Ltd., W. H., 71, Gelderd Road, Leeds, and BAXTER, W. H., Knapping Mount, West Grove Road, Harrogate. Nov. 10, 1933, No. 31366. [Class 59.] In a jaw-crusher, the swinging jaw 2 is adjusted relatively to the fixed jaw 3 by means of interchangeable packing pieces 20 located in the guide slots of the fixed bearing blocks 11 carrying the pivot 10 of the eccentric rod 9. As shown the swinging jaw 2 is pivoted at 27 to the casing and has rearwardly extending arms 4 carrying bearings which support a shaft 5 on which flywheels 7 and driving pulley 8 are mounted. An eccentric 6 is formed on the shaft 5 between the arms 4 and carries the strap 9 the lower end of which pivots on the shaft 10 fixed in the blocks 11. The adjustment of the jaw 2 is provided by inserting or removing packing pieces 20 from below the block 11 and removing or inserting them above the block. The packing pieces and block may be locked against lateral movement.
