Abstract

408,556. Animal traps. HAMPSHIRE & CO., Ltd., F. W., and HAMPSHIRE, F. W., Sunnydale Works, Sinfin Lane, Derby. Dec. 14, 1933, No. 35184. [Class 5 (i).] The bait-carrying member of an animal trap, of the type in which a spring arm 5 pivoted to the base 3 is held in the set position by a lever 7 coacting with the bait-carrying member, is constituted by the rear wall 9 of a shield 10, which is fixed to the base 3 and is so shaped as to allow of access to the bait from the front of the trap only, the said wall 9 being pivoted at 14 to the remainder of the shield so as to be movable relatively thereto about a horizontal axis. The wall 9 comprises a flared aperture 19 to receive the end 18 of the lever 7. The spring arm 5 is weighted by means of a metal tube 20 threaded thereon.
