Convention date, Nov. 17, 1931. [Class 99 (i).] An elastic coupling sleeve for connecting the socketed tubes x, y of a vacuum cleaner &c. has a thickened portion 16 and preferably an internal groove 17 to enhance its grip on the tube x, and has at its other end a bead 18 which grips the tube y and is rolled back to release the tube y. A single turn of the bead removes it from the tube y and in its turned back position the bead lies between a rib 23 and the shoulder 16. The tubes may have abutting flanges 19, 20.
