405,259. Doffing arrangements for flyer spinning, twisting, and doubling machines. FAIRBAIRN LAWSON COMBE BARBOUR, Ltd., Hope Foundry, Leeds, and ANDERSON, J. K., Kirtleton, Waterbeck, Dumfries. July 30, 1932, No. 21560. [Class 120 (ii).] In doffing- mechanism of the kind described in Specification 385,621, wherein revolving devices are provided to carry the full and empty bobbin rails for effecting the changing- operations and are intermittently progressed during these operations by movement of one step in one direction and two steps in the opposite direction, the revolving device a is circular in outline, that is, without any external projections. The lifter rails d are provided with pins c at each end to engage corresponding holes in the device a, which may be provided with internal bosses where the holes are formed, and may comprise a shaft provided with narrow end drums, the movement during the changing-operations being limited by stops m, n adapted to engage the lifter rails.
