Abstract

405,220. Stands for hand irons. KRUGER, P. E. F., Elberfeld, Wuppertal, Germany. Sept. 14, 1933, No. 25470. [Class 138 (ii).] A stand particularly for a hot hand-iron comprises spaced metal or other plates 1, 2 connected by heat-insulating members 14 and with an air space between them, with the under surface of the upper plate and the upper surface of the lower plate polished or formed with a reflecting surface whereby the transfer of heat to the lower plate is minimised. Sheets 5, 6, 9, 10 of asbestos or other heat insulating material are secured above the upper plate and below the lower plate by means of bent over edges of the plates. The plates may be formed of porcelain to which a reflecting surface is applied.
