404,912. Vehicle opening-tops. THURGOOD, W. L., Park Road, Ware, and PERKINS, H., 36, Duke Street, Hoddesden, both in Hertfordshire. Oct. 19, 1933, No. 28946. Addition to 337,987, [Class 108 (i), Road vehicles, Body details &c. of]. [Class 108 (i).] The longitudinally hinged opening flaps described in the parent Specification for the roofs of motor vehicles are arranged to be operated by a lever pivotally mounted on the fixed part of the roof. In the form shown the lever 8, 10, 13 is pivoted at 9 to the fixed member 5 and is pivoted at one end to a sleeve 11 adapted to slide on a tube 12 carried by one of the leaves of the hinged flap 1, 2. Operation of the handle 13 opens the flap as indicated. In a modification the connection between the lever and the flap may be by pin-and-slot arrangement.
