404,499. Colour kinematography. BONNEAU, P. E., 110, Rue de Menilmontant, Paris. March 17, 1933, No. 8185. Convention date, March, 17, 1932. [Class 97 (i).] Three or more negative colour-record images are taken simultaneously on a film larger than a standard positive film and are printed without re-arrangement on a positive film so that each group of colour-records occupies the space of a standard image ; the positive colour-records are projected simultaneously in superposition, and with a magnification such as to produce projected images of normal size. Registration marks 20 may be produced on the negative film, and outside the image fields, by collimating means 24, having a diaphragm 26 and prism 25, placed within the fields of the camera objectives. The marks are printed on the positive film, and are projected with the images thereon ; the operator may adjust the projecting system to superpose them and secure registration of the projected colour-record images. A prism may be placed in the light beam to deflect the projected images of the marks above or to the side of the projection screen, and a telescope may be provided to enable the operator to examine them easily.
