[Class 104 (ii).] To minimise the risk of derailment the wheels a, Fig. 1, of a rail vehicle are set at an inclination to the vertical and provided with deep flanges b -which are either conical or convex, while the rails e are also mounted on the sleepers g at a suitable co-operating inclination. The rail chairs h may either be formed integrally with the sleepers g by bending up the ends of the latter as shown in Fig. 1, or they may be riveted or welded to the sleepers indicated at i, Fig. 3, the sleepers at intervals being fixed by anchors k in known manner.
