These bars are held together by members d. In a modification the bars are flat and lie radially to the centre of the aperture. Two or more sets of bars may be arranged side by side over a common delivery aperture, and instead of arranging the bars vertically, or at an inclination to the vertical, they may be disposed helically around a cylindrical or elliptical surface. Specification 336,951, [Class 78 (i), Conveyers &c.], is referred to.
