[Class 37.] An inductance coil of the kind wound on detachable notched supports carried by a former has the supports constructed in the form of separate U or V-shape strips 3 which project through apertures in the wall of the former base and are provided at each end with notches 5 which abut on the former. The strips have winding notches 4 for locating the coil sections some of which may be wound on the cylindrical surface of the former. The winding notches 4 may be punched in the flat strip material which is afterwards bent to the desired shape.
