Abstract

401,897. Drawing templets ; protractors. DIXON, E. L., 2206, Elsinor Avenue, Baltimore, U.S.A. Dec. 7, 1932, No. 34699. [Class 97 (iii).] A drawing- appliance for tracing polygons &c. comprises a sheet 1 of substantially rigid material provided with one or more polygonal cut-outs having marks 13 provided along the sides, dividing them into segments in the same ratio for each such side whereby similar polygons of different sizes may be formed. The cut-outs represent triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons &c. all, except the regular pentagon, having angles which are multiples of 5‹ and 10‹. A protractor 18 is provided, having 5‹ and 10‹ measurements as shown and slots 20, 20<1> overlapping slightly and formed with discontinuous parts 21 serving to unite the protractor rigidly to the main body of the device. Scales 22, 23 are provided, and also spaced apertures 24, 241, 25-27 to facilitate the ruling of parallel lines. Two sets of serrations 28, 29 enable dotted or similar lines to be drawn.
