Abstract

399,234. Thermostats. G ENE R A L ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and STOPFORD, C. W., c/o General Electric Co., Wembley, Middlesex. April 6, 1932, No. 9858. [Class 64 (ii).] In a thermostatic capsule of the type in which a diaphragm forming one wall of the capsule flexes discontinuously past a neutral position with a snap action, the diaphragm 2 is provided with radial indentations 9, 10 to increase the suddenness of the snap action. The indentations may be on either side of the diaphragm, and the latter in its inwardly flexed position rests on a conical supporting base member.
