Abstract
398,681. Two-part couplings. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Benander, G. B. ; Main Street, Yalesville, Connecticut, U.S.A.) Nov. 25, 1932, No. 33429. Convention date, Nov. 25, 1931. [Class 38 (i).] In a plug member comprising a soft rubber body 16 provided with an internal groove 27 detachably engaging a rim 28 on a base member 17, the latter is formed of a rubber composition and is provided with slots adapted to engage reduced central portions 19 of the contact blades 20, 21 when they are forced into the slots. The inner ends of the blades are formed with enlarged heads which are bent at an angle and provided with binding screws 22, 23. The separate conductors are knotted around a perforated disc 25 bearing against a shoulder on the body 16. The point of entrance of the cable 15 may be sealed by cement.
